Hi, my name is Roxana and I go by Roxie.

I graduated from Liberty University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I offer in-person or telehealth sessions in English or Spanish. Along the path of life, we all encounter challenges and sometimes experiences can leave us feeling depressed, anxious, traumatized, and stressed due to life changes. It is my hope that within the therapeutic relationship you feel safe, validated and empowered to explore and face those challenges.

Bilingual professional with extensive knowledge in child and adult protective services, adult education, and the military.

As a Navy veteran, my personal experience within the military culture and working in child and adult protective services, foster care, adoption and providing crisis intervention to families of diverse backgrounds has given me the knowledge and experience to provide high quality service and support to people in different stages of life. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership where clients experience the process of healing and personal growth by building on one’s strengths to accomplish their goals.

Some of the treatment modalities I use are Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gottman’s couples’ methodology, Positive Parenting and other modalities to address trauma symptoms, problem behaviors, and other mental health concerns. In my own words “I deeply believe that people do the best they can in the circumstances they encounter. I love to help people accept and reshape their lives to overcome challenges thereby leading into a better version of themselves.”

I am Christian, and if you, the client prefers, I can incorporate Christian and Biblical values in our clinical work together. I am committed to social justice for all people.
